    Meet Dr. Rivas.

    Homero Rivas II, MD is a native Texan who moved to Chattanooga in 2008 and now calls Chattanooga, TN his home.

    As a physical medicine and rehabilitation physician, or physiatrist, Dr. Rivas is a nerve, muscle, and bone specialist who treats injuries or illnesses that affect how one moves. Physiatrists are trained to treat the whole person, not just the problem area, in order to restore maximum function lost through injury, illness, or disabling conditions.

    Dr. Rivas graduated from medical school at UTMB in Galveston, TX. He is board certified in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation and has fellowship training in spinal cord medicine and interventional pain management. He has additional training and interests in hyperbaric medicine and wound care, as well as wilderness and dive medicine.
